Degaussing or shredding of the hard drives are the physical destruction methods but they do not produce a certificate for the client. A digital data destruction certificate is only produced when the data is destroyed fully and has no scope of recovery using a disk wiping software. In these situations, BitRaser will provide the client with a certificate showing that the hard drive is completely wiped and erased. This digital data destruction certificate is only produced once the intensive software data wiping process has been finished. BitRaser’s certificate is backed by the legal documents behind the data destruction contract and thus it is completely auditable. BitRaser will automatically track and record the data destruction process and after completion of the job it will compile the certificate that will have recommendations from internationally acclaimed standards.
