This KB explains how to recharge the BitRaser Drive Eraser USB Lock Key for customers using the offline variant of BitRaser Drive Eraser. In offline deployments, license recharges are performed manually using the BitRaser License Manager utility.
Prerequisites
Ensure you have the following before starting:
- BitRaser USB Lock Key (Blue)
- A live Windows system with a working OS
- Your license purchase Order Number
- Email access to contact BitRaser technical support
Step 1: Purchase the required number of licenses from the BitRaser Drive Eraser Buy Now page after selecting ‘Physical Delivery’. After successful payment, you will receive an Order Number via email. This Order Number will be used to generate a request code for license issuance.
Step 2: Open the Run dialog by pressing Windows+R. Paste the link and click 'OK' to download the BitRaser License Manager (See Image 1).

Step 2: Insert the BitRaser USB Lock Key into the Windows system and install BitRaser License Manager (See Image 2).

Step 3: Launch the application and click on ‘Initialize Lock’ (See Images 3a & 3b).

Step 4: Select ‘No License key’ and then enter the ‘Order Number’ received after purchase. Next, click on ‘Generate Request Code’, and then click ‘OK’ (See Images 4a, 4b & 4c).

Step 5: Send the Request Code to [email protected]. The BitRaser Support team will share the License Key with you. Open the BitRaser License Manager and select ‘Already have license key’, open the ‘License File’ received in the email using Notepad, and copy the key. Paste it into the License Manager and click Refill Lock (See Images 5a and 5b).

Congratulations, you have successfully recharged your BitRaser Lock Key. The updated License count will be displayed on the screen (See Image 6).
